If you meet the qualifications and wish to become a police officer with any of our  departments, you must first take our Regional Entry Written Examination.  The exam is a general knowledge examination covering reading, grammar and basic arithmetic and takes approximately 2-1/2 hours to complete.  You must bring a certified check or money order of $25 ( cash is acceptable)  on the day of the examination.  Make checks payable to the Law Enforcement Council of Connecticut.  We are currently conducting these exams during the months of September through May.
